Healthcare & Animal Welfare
Seva Paramo Dharma.
We deliver care to those left behind.
Medical Assistance
Doctors, medicine and oxygen for remote areas.A Hindu child with thalassaemia needs blood every few weeks. Not once, and not only in an emergency. Every few weeks, for as long as that child lives.
Bengal has thousands of these children. Their parents spend their lives searching for donors, and most of them search alone.
We arrange blood donation for thalassaemic Hindu children so that those parents can stop searching for a while. We ask the family for nothing, because there is nothing for them to give. The blood goes in, and the child goes back to school.
We conduct free medical camps in Hindu villages that no doctor visits. Our Medical Van carries doctors, medicines and oxygen concentrators into villages where the nearest clinic costs a day of travel and a day of lost wages to reach.
For most Hindus standing in that queue, it is the first time a doctor has examined them in years. For some of them it is the first time in their lives.
We do not wait for a scheme to be announced, and we do not wait to be called. We go.
Gau Raksha & Gau Mata Seva
Unconditional care for every rescued cow.We have rescued more than 100 Gau Mata from slaughterhouses and given them lifelong shelter in our Gaushala.
They are fed every single day, treated when they fall ill, and left in peace when they wish to be. Most are old now. Most give no milk. Not one of them earns her keep.
That is the whole point. We call her Gau Mata, and a mother is not kept for what she still produces. Her fodder is paid for on every day of the year. That cost does not pause for a hard month and it does not wait until after the puja. It is the quietest expense SinghaBahini carries, and we have never once considered setting it down.
Gau Mata shall be fed first and she shall be fed last. This is not charity. This is Dharma.
