Nineteen years in the villages of West Bengal. Not touring them. Working in them.
He knows which lane floods first. He knows which Hindu family will refuse help even when it is offered, and how to offer it a second time. He knows the difference between a village that needs rice this week and a village that needs a tubewell for the next thirty years.
Nobody taught him that. Nineteen years of walking those villages did.
He served as Vice President of Hindu Samhati from 2009 to 2018. He could have stayed. The post was his. On Mahalaya that year he walked away from it, with a few karyakartas and no funding worth counting, and started again from zero.
He leads from the front. He has never sent a karyakarta to a place where he has not first served himself. There is no corner of Bengal he asks another Hindu to enter ahead of him.

The road so far.
2009
Hindu Samhati
He rose to Vice President and held the post for nine years. In those years he learned every district in Bengal, and found a Hindu in each one willing to do the work.
2018
SinghaBahini begins
He left. On Mahalaya, with a handful of karyakartas and nothing else, he started again. No launch. No announcement. No donor. There was a van, and there was a village. That was the entire organisation.
2020
Relief at scale
The lockdown came first. Amphaan came weeks later, while Bengal was still shut. He took SinghaBahini out into both and did not stop for a year. The 13.5 lakh meals came out of that year, one plate at a time, cooked and carried by hand.
2023 onward
A full calendar
Foundation Day. The Gangasagar Teerth Camp. Medical camps, women's programmes and Dharma initiatives across the state. The work was no longer a reaction to disaster. It had become a calendar, and the calendar was full.
LEADERSHIP
Action over announcements.
He builds slowly and by hand. Volunteers found one at a time. Karyakartas trained in a field and not in a hall. Lawyers arranged for Hindu families who had never spoken to one in their lives.
Ask him what SinghaBahini has done that matters most, and he does not give you a number.
He tells you about the women.
Hindu women from Vanavasi and Dalit families, trained to perform puja and conduct Sanatani ritual themselves. Not assisting. Not supervised. Not standing behind anybody. Standing exactly where the purohit stands, in their own village, in front of people who have known them their whole lives.
That place was shut to them for centuries.
He opened it. Then he went looking for more Hindu women to fill it.
